Influencing Factors of Chronic Diseases and Self-rated Health among People in the Health Vulnerable Region of Busan

Abstract
Health status is poor among people in Busan, the difference health related socio-economic and physical environmental factors have been increased. The Health Vulnerable Region is distributed throughout Busan of the major cities (Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, and Busan). The subjects of analysis were who live in the Health Vulnerable Region having high standardized mortality ratios(SMRs) area. This study is to analysis demographic and socioeconomic factors, healthy lifestyle, and physical environmental factors influencing factors of chronic disease and self-rated health. According to the analysis, the odds ratio of influencing factors of chronic disease were significant high for age (40s OR=2.732, p<0.05; 50s OR=12.757, p<0.001; over 60 OR=28.369, p<0.001), for non-smoker(OR=2.834, p<0.05), for High risk drinker(OR=2.961, p<0.01), and for depression Experience(OR=4.258, p<0.01). Physical environmental factors were not significant. The odds ratio of influencing factors of self-related health were significant high for over middle age people(50s OR=8.544, p<0.05; over 60 OR=7.362, p<0.05), for the lowest income group(less than 1 million won OR=10.681, p<0.01; 1 million won level OR=3.632, p<0.05) and for depression Experience(OR=4.031, p<0.05). Healthy life style was not significant. Also physical environmental factors were not significant. This study finds that influencing factors of chronic disease and self-related health were demographic and socioeconomic factors. Previous studies were showed slightly difference of the odds ratio among vulnerable groups, but this study was showed significantly. This study suggests that future policy directions and strategies for health promotion are carried out considering vulnerable people living in the vulnerable region. It is required comprehensive and continuous preventive health care system considering life cycle. Also it is important to approach to income inequality reduction
